Better Late Than Never

So, quite a number of months ago I told Katie that I would post all of grandma's songs on here. I'm sure there are more songs that I have forgotten, but if anyone would like to remind me of some of her song, I am more than willing to hunt those down as well.

On the Good Ship Lollipop

On the good ship
lollipop
its a sweet trip
to the candy shop
where bon-bon's play,
on the sunny beach
of peppermint bay
Lemonade stands,
everywhere
crackerjack bands,
fill the air,
and there you are,
happy landings on a chocolate bar.
See the sugar bowl
do a tootsie roll
in a big bad devils food cake,
if you eat too much,
oh, oh,
you'll awake,
with a tummy ache.
On the good ship
lollipop
its a nice trip,
into bed you hop,
and dream away,
on the good ship
lollipop.

Playmate

Hey, hey, oh playmate,
Come out and play with me
And bring your dollies three
Climb up my apple tree

Slide down my rain barrel
Into my cellar door
And we'll be jolly friends
Forever more, more, more.

So sorry, playmate
I cannot play with you
My dolly's got the flu
Boo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo

Ain't got no rain barrel
Ain't got no cellar door
But we'll be jolly friends
Forever more, more, more.

I Love Coffee, I Love Tea

I love coffee, i love tea
I love the java jive and it loves me
Coffee and tea and the java and me
A cup, a cup, a cup, a cup, a cup

I'm a Lonely Little Petunia in an Onion Patch

Ooooh, I'm a lonely little petunia in an onion patch,
an onion patch, an onion patch

I'm a lonely little petunia in an onion patch
and all I do is cry all day
Boo hoo, boo hoo

It smells so strong it takes my breath away-ay-ay!
I'm a lonely little petunia in an onion patch,
oh won't you come and play with me?

I Am a Child of God
I am a child of God,
And he has sent me here,
Has given me an earthly home
With parents kind and dear.

Lead me, guide me, walk beside me,
Help me find the way.
Teach me all that I must do
To live with him someday.

I am sure that there are more lyrics to all these songs, but these are where they started/ended for me. I'm sure the actual song in all its fullness could be found online, but this is my memories versions.

Enjoy!
